Guys.. what a blast!! NASA runs a very smooth event and everyone was very nice. The car did better than I thought it would. She ran VERY hot the first day so I could only putt around and mind the temps. I tracked it down to a bad thermostat and replaced it Sat night. Sun she held at a solid 210* no matter how hard I pushed her. So I got many hot laps in. It only rained once and it was during my session so I got a nice ride on the grass on the inside of turn 2, not used to all this power yet and it's funny how the car goes faster once you hit wet grass.
I found an '07 Mustang GT that was the same speed and had a blast chasing him around the track. But it's really cool to be able to chase down Porsches on the straights. It does lean...alot, and you really have to pay attention to your braking zones ( and rotors, I cracked a set ) but after a few suspension and brake upgrades this car is really going to rock and roll. Thanks everyone for the hints and tips. Mills we're going to have to make a trip out there together. No I didn't get any pics this time, I was all alone b/c my "crew" bailed on me. |
