OK people...I know someone has had this issue.
I installed a Repair Right Rear wheel bearing in order to get the car home from SCCA solo nationals...I now have a new axle, new bearing and wheel seal ready to go in the car but I cant get the old one out. Slide hammer + bearing puller = broken bearing puller at the moment. Other than taking apart the other side and removing the diff in order to run a big freakin piece of pipe in and beating it out the other side...any suggestions??? I might try to heat up the axle tube with a torch to loosen things up....but then i got to get another bearing puller. Any ideas? |

You could break the bearing apart and get it out in pieces. I ended up doing this when the slide hammer kit that I was using didn't have the proper attachment.
