Howdy,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...A1%7C240%3A1308 I can't believe someone wants to pay >$20k for this thing. I _really_ can't believe that doesn't meet the reserve. Mark |

I can see 20k for a new thirdgen 1LE, but it would at least need a TPI motor. It is a relatively low option car, but TBI gets a big thumbs down...

I can see 20k for a new thirdgen 1LE, but it would at least need a TPI motor. It is a relatively low option car, but TBI gets a big thumbs down... That's not a TBI, those started in 1988, that's a Quadrajet 4bbl. That's a car that should get it's butt handed to it in a drag race by a good running factory VW GTI (2000-2006 1.8t or VR6). I'm confused, they sold the factory wheels to put aftermarket wheels on it, but never did. So, they had to have been intending to drive it. What happened? And why wasn't it prepped at the dealer? That makes me think they bought it as an investment, but then why the wheels issue? To look at the interior, I don't doubt that it is what they say it is, I'm just confused about why it is what it is (if that makes sense). |
