HPDE tech:I don't have a tech in my area so I have to at the track morning of event. I have a small leak, maybe dime size on the pavement overnight. And the underside is not that clean either. But if you were to sit and wait(like at tech) it wont drip in that time.Is this going to cause me to fail track tech the underside showing that there is something happening.. I need to know so I can get this fixed if it will cause me to fail. I would hate to pay all that money now being such a small leak. I do want it fixed soon I just have other things I'm doing now. And I kinda wanted to wait till I do the clutch when it goes.
With my other car it did not have a leak never any worry, and when I think of it they never really look under the car.Just seats, belts, helmet, tires, battery, brake lights. What do you think? Tony |

I've never been to an event where I didn't have at least one oil leak like you're describing. My car had always been that way even after being to the dealer more times than I can count for them to fix the various leaks (when it was under warrantee). It looks like after my recent cam swap, the thing finally doesn't leak--after sealing all that stuff my damn self!
Anyway, I never had a problem. Just drive it up on ramps and wipe it down really well the night before the event. |
