having been the owner of more carbed turd gens than most, I'd have to wonder why they'd buy the carbed motor instead of the TPI except that the first year TPI was a sizable turd too.
on a side note I've been oogling an 87 IROC near my house thats been sitting for at least 4 years. I was sad to learn that it was a carbed car that hasn't run in many years. <50K miles on it. I know the MAF cars have the slow computers (have/had one) and I figured with the 85 not having a roller cam would have been worse... interestingly though the 85 TPI was only available with A4, at least according to thirdgen.org on a side note I've been oogling an 87 IROC near my house thats been sitting for at least 4 years. Its mostly nostalgia that make me want it...plus it has nice interior (rare for one of them) and the exterior should clean up well. |
