Howdy,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...A1%7C240%3A1308 I can't believe someone wants to pay >$20k for this thing. I _really_ can't believe that doesn't meet the reserve. Mark |

Mark With 5-6 years of posting and lurking on the thirdgen.org forums, it doesn't surprise me at all. Wouldn't all the gaskets and stuff have to be replaced after sitting that long? Pat I wouldn't even start it, just pull it out and tear it down. If the bores rusted, they'll trash the rings and you'll have it apart anyway. May as well just start by pulling it apart without running it. At least if you're trying to keep it "numbers matching" and I'll expect the carb to need a rebuild as well. Or, drive it until it starts leaking like a sieve (and loses oil pressure due to the rust in the block extrude honing the bearings when it's running). |
