Hey guys and gals,
I'm back on after a consulting work load induced hiatus. I missed the technical F-body discussions and should be around more going forward. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Jason S. |

Your ears must have been burning, we CMCers up north here were talking about you! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) All good things; we miss ya! I'm also thinking it is time for me to send in my shocks to you during a down period with CMC for regular maintenance. That might be most of this year with this tire BS going on with NASA!
We had a situation with the R888s where at first we thought one of my shocks might be going bad since my left front tire was chattering in certain left hand turns at Thunderhill this weekend. We replaced a wheel bearing on that side, that seemed to help a lot with it. Checked the upper shock mount and several other things (swaybar mounts). Then I found out Mike Plum had the same issue with his third gen, only with the right front tire and only on T2. We are guessing that the huge tread blocks are "skipping" and consequently loading and then unloading the front shock on that tire, in a not so good way. The R888s are NOT popular with NorCal CMC group. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |
