I had tires delivered a few weeks ago for the accord. I ended up taking them inside, putting them in the foyer on the hardwood floor. A few hours later, I moved them into the basement until I can get to mounting them. Well, I left a perfect thin black ring on the hardwood that I can't get off. I tried using household cleaners, Goo-gone, paint thinner, and it doesn't do anything! FWIW I had them on the basement floor (pergo) and I could wipe the marks off with my finger down there.
Any suggestions for removing this black rubber mark without sanding our eating the floor up? |

It's probably the mold release agent that's actually soaked into the wood. It can be fun to get off of things, but I've never soaked it into wood (so follow the advice above). That sucks.
