Just curious...
There is a nice opportunity and relocation package.
Do cars need to pass inspections ? hope not.

I have lived in MD all of my life. I used to live closer to DC, but now I'm near Baltimore. It is expensive, but the salaries tend to compensate. Traffic can be hellish, but if you plan your daily routine you can avoid it. There's a road course nearby and a very active SCCA autocross presence. MD has an initial safety inspection and then an emissions inspection every 2 years. VA is yearly inspection, property tax, and at least bi-yearly smog.
