Likely going to drive something else (again) this year and I'd hate to see this badass piece of 1980s General Motors machinery sit in the garage for another year.
1982 Camaro Z28, L98, 4-speed T10 transmission (engine and transmission both rebuilt in 1998), rare fiberglass hood (available on '82-'83 Z28s), 10-bolt rear axle from '91 Camaro, no A/C or radio, weighed 3,135 at '08 DC Pro. Weight jackers with 850# front and 150# rear springs, 34/18 f/r sway bars, Torsen T2R, ???? Headers, Accel ECU, Koni single adjustables, front strut tower brace, battery relocated to rear, Corbeau driver's seat, Spohn subframe connectors, adjustable panhard bar, IROC wonderbar, siamesed TPI intake runners (SLP?), 52mm throttle body, Tilton brake proportioning valve, MSD ignition/coil, Hurst shifter, Momo steering wheel, Flowmaster muffler with side exit on passenger side, Centerforce clutch, Energy Suspension bushings, IROC steering box. Stuff I've done since I got it: New carpet, subframe connectors, fuel injectors, wax. 1 set of 16X10 REAL wheels, 1 set of 16X9.5 Jongbloed wheels, 1 set of 16X9 Ronal (I think) wheels, Factory Service Manual. One of the most fun cars I've ever autocrossed. Really easy to drive. Just stab it and steer. Numerous national championships going back to 1989. It was originally built for the SCCA's "new" Street Prepared class, and has been there ever since. Featured in the June 1990 issue of Hot Rod magazine. My favorite picture: (IMG:http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4003/4327081987_9c19a92e85_o.jpg) What it looks like now without all the stickers: (IMG:http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2733/4327815682_d2a6e64bb8.jpg) (IMG:http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2739/4327082069_49a45bddac_o.jpg) (IMG:http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4051/4344363536_0f4a131845.jpg) Link to scan of the Hot Rod article: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10453209@N06/...57621923352345/ Various interior pictures Asking $7,500 OBO. GM needs to buy this car and put it in a museum with the label "From a time when Camaros weren't too big and heavy to win trophies."
What am I saying...this car needs to be raced! Free bump for an awesome car! |
