Well like the title says I'm new on the board but that's not to say that I haven't been lurking for a while. I just aquired a '94 Trans Am that will be used to compete in the Grassroots Motorsports Magazine $2010 Challenge. This will be the second car I've competed with in this venue. The first car was a fox Mustang that finished a best of fifth in 2006. I've been autocrossing for more than a decade but this is the first F-Body I've owned. I promise to search this board thoroughly before I post up any tech questions. Look for me to post a lot in the classified sections looking for cheap parts to keep me under my budget limit. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Matt

The 18x10.5"vette wheels can be found cheap if you look long enough and get a little lucky. I have 2 rear C5 ZO6 Speedline wheels, 1 front Speedlibe wheel, and two half worn 265/40/17 Eagle F1 tires for $250, and I got 2 aftermarket rear C5 ZO6 wheels for $100. Assuming I can sell the pair of tires for atleast $150 and the front wheel for atleast $100, I'll have a complete set of 18x10.5 wheels for $100! Then if you figure in the cost of me selling my 2 sets of IROC wheels, I'll be well in the negative dollar amount.

I got my deals by checking LS1tech and Craigslist ~twice a day for about 3 weeks. Good luck with the build and keep us posted on parts you need or just progress you make. I'd love to compete in this someday but the events are half way across the country. Maybe I'll do it by like 2020 or something. lol
