We had our first Autox of the year on Sunday, My son snapped this cool picture of my car I thought I would share. The helment in the passenger seat is actually attached to a 7 year old boy I gave a ride along too! It's not sitting on the dash... I think I'm getting closer to getting the car set up now, I finished in the top 15 out of 95 cars! Even beat some of the old school fast guys this time!
There should be no doubt now where the name "Beach Cruiser" came from. This picture and the my normal bar transportation are the basis... Yes, we race on the beach! Not quite old school Daytona, but close. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj304/beerman985/28.jpg) |

Yeah, Todd's right. It can get sandy pretty quick if the wind is blowing. We blow the course off before the event, but the sand is persistant. The surface is really nice concrete though, with lots of Grip. It's the tarmac landing pad for the US Navy's Hovercraft amphibs. Pretty cool machines. I would say it's most likey the best site east of the Mississippi.
