Finally got some time and space to load up the metal scraps I've been squirreling away for 4yrs at the shop and at the house, where my wife threatened to start mixing it with my meals.
Scrap prices are coming back up, got $110/ton for tin/iron mix and $.50/lb for clean aluminum Loaded up on the lift - everything here was stashed under workbenches, under cars, and under foot: (IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2010_04_09/IMG_3491.JPG) This is 2420# of scrap metal: (IMG:http://www.blainefabrication.com/projects/2010_04_09/IMG_3495.JPG) |

I should probably clean out the garage too. There isnt much but hopefully it will pay for a new diff cover and a tire or two. We've probably got ~100# of steel, ~30# of aluminum, ~150# of copper (~90% bare), and ~300# of brass.

So I just bring it to work and through it their bin. Alan, you're quite the pack-rat (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
