I moved my Camaro out of the barn to get the quad out yesterday, and it got rained on. When I put it away, I hit the "mist" on the wiper switch to clear off the windshield. The wipers rose up from their "home" position and swiped one time like they should. Only they didn't return to the "home" position. They just stopped 4" above the cowl. I went through all the selections on the switch. (delay, on, fast) Everything works, they just won't drop down to their final resting spot.
I didn't have time to mess with it, so I'm being lazy hoping for the quick answer here. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) Anybody experience this before? Do I need a new wiper motor? |

Off the top of my head, the motor might be dirty and unable to go to the park position. I thought I'd seen a write up (somewhere online) about tearing them down to fix them. Or, a new motor will likely fix the issue.
