It can be fixed. But for $400 in tube and paint it I can have a new car that doesnt have:
A) 5.5 years of racing on it. Thats 8 weekends a year w/ 7 sessions a weekend plus 3 enduro's. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) No bondo, plus what needs to be added to what this one already has. C) A bent frame from 5.5 years ago that has been neglectid to be fixed since it was discovered 2 years ago. D) Numerous rips and tears in the floor pan (that I just welded up). E) A less than desirable cage in design and weight. I've been wanting to build a new car for a couple years now, but I always seem to get involved w/ someone elses car in place of mine. The goal is to have a stronger cage that is about 30lbs lighter in a car thats about 10-15lbs lighter (40-45lbs total). The cage work is a 2-3 weekend deal. |
