No requirement for a cell in NASA HPDE or AI/X. The OEM fuel tank, IMO, is in a safe location, except for the filler neck. Some OEM tanks/pickups will start starving at just under 1/2 tank, some will go further. IMO the most urgent reason for a cell is if you need more capacity than reworking the OEM pickup can provide: high HP motor at a long National event, or enduro, for example. If you do install a cell, it must be a FIA FT3, and the bladder lifes out at 5yrs.

You guys have been a great help. Just came back from Sebring last weekend. 57 cars ran an all out sprint for 12 hours. Great turn out. Racing season is on!
