I'm looking to buy a Southwest Tour car to run NASA SU, SCCA GT1, and Trans Am-2. The problem? It has no log book...NASCAR doesn't use them. TA2 rules provides multiple engine combos pending logbook issuance date. Logbook issued prior to 12/2010 can run a GTA motor, ASA, LS3 or what this car has but restricted. If logbook issued after 12/2010 your only option is LS3
Will SCCA grant me a pre-dated logbook since the car ran SW Tour? How do I go about doing this? How do I prove it ran in the Tour? Previous owner doesn't know this.. Thanks! |

Sounds like a great venture Chris. Any pic's? What are you going to do with the Vette?

Sounds like a great venture Chris. Any pic's? What are you going to do with the Vette? don't have any pictures of it yet, it's tucked away in a storage shed right now and tough to look at. But picture a SW Tour car, fiberglass body, steel doors, bright red 5 star chevy impala bodywork (would get switched to a Howe 2010 Camaro body work after current body work gets tore up). Car was ran a few times in the Tour, but before it was put away got fresh body work, inside sheetmetal, and paint. The Corvette all depends on finances. It'll either go up for sale after the Runoffs this year, or stick around a little longer...we'll see. |
