I have 4 sets of airbags (4 driver/4 passenger) sitting in my garage. I want these gone but can't seem to find a place that buys them or a market for selling them. I realize all the requirements of using new for insurance repairs. There still has to be a market.
Anyone know of a source? Right now, short of getting a case of beer and having a "what this!" moment, I'm at a loss. |

The air bag diagnostoc monitor from the module looks for the firing squib in the bag.
They vary in resistance. They are usually anywhere from 1 ohm to 4 ohms. The amperage used to test the circuit is extremely low, no possibility to hurt anything. So some very low resistors inline will do the trick. Either that or remove the lamp from the cluster. |
