I have an Edelbrock 8881 waterpump. It's the Victor series, reverse rotation for a serpentine belt setup and it's a "long" pump. Of course the Corvette uses a "short" pump so this one has to go. It's got 1,200 miles on it (like everything else) and it's looking for a good home. These are fantastic pumps and I'm going to buy the version that fits the Corvette to replace it. They have a much better flow balance (side to side) to cool both sides of the engine equally and the impeller design typically takes less power to turn than a stock pump (they tend to have less parasitic drag) and aluminum makes them lighter than the cast iron lump that's on the front of most engines now.
It's this pump: http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/8881/10002/-1 $175.99 (and a $9.99 handling charge) new. $140 plus freight. OBO |
