LT1 fuel tank / modified pickup assy / doghouse - F-Body Road Racing and Autocross Forums

This is the OEM fuel tank with modified pickup out of Kens 1995 TransAm - it was working great in his race car

This setup was working well on track down to about 2gal left, much lower than the OEM pickup, which will typically starve and sputter coming off corners just below 1/2 tank:

tank: OEM - fits any 4th gen, probably 3rd gen. Fill tube is tight, no leaks. Still fits OEM pickup assy - not included

fill plate: modified with -8AN fittings and pickup/return tubes, vent with tipover ball valve, fits any 4th gen tank. requires external plumbing mods and pump, not included

doghouse: fits any 3rd/4th gen. TIG welded aluminum

requires external pump and filters, not included.
