I do not own this item, I am passing along the information.
A guy in South Jersey (that does fantastic welding, and did a custom exhaust for my buddy's MR-S) is selling a complete C4 Dana 36 rear end. Everything has been bead blasted and center diff was rebuilt. It's been sitting unused for 4-5 years and he is looking for a quick sale. He mentioned he would take $300 for it. I would buy it if I knew someone would install it for me and dial it in (in lieu of my God-forsaken Moser 12 bolt), but since I don't know anyone to do it for me, I am letting you guys know. I wouldn't replace a 12 bolt with a D36. Maybe a Dana 44, but not a 36.

But seriously, I thought the D36 was still a stout piece? I would certainly have been more inclined to buy it if it were a D44, but I was under the impression the D36 was good enough for non-drag racers. |
