The 99 is a parts car. The 97 is my street/track car. I just can't make up my mind!
If I stick with the 97, I'll sell the 99 front end to buy a 97 SS hood. If I swap the 99 front end over, I'll put a grill in it that looks nice, make it a front breather and use the fog light holes for brake ducts. I need help. Give me your opinions. Has anyone ever actually tested which one is more aero/creates more front downforce??
Even if it is not street legal in most places, putting plexiglass covers over the LT1's 'buckets' would probably help the aero A LOT. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Is there an LSx in the '97??? This post has been edited by dailydriver: Mar 24 2015, 12:03 AM |

I'm going to start saving for an LS1 that I want to do heads and cam to. That's another reason why I bought the 99 SS, so I can borrow the cross member from it. Every other person I talk to has a different opinion on what front end they like better. The car is going to be black. If I went with the LS1 front end, I'd paint the inside of the headlights black like 6liter offers. I also need to get rid of the black plastic grill for something better. There's something about that LT1 nose though... |
