I have been without an f-body for a while now, but I found something on Craigslist I couldn't resist. It's a '99 Z28, 6 spd, t-tops, that was for sale by the original owner. She bought it brand new in June of '99, and drove it to school as a teacher for years. As far as I can tell it is 100% stock, including the lid, exhaust, and even working skip shift. Overall it seems pretty darn clean for 153k miles, but not quite as mint as it looks in the pic. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but at least some punk as teenager won't be hacking it up. Big Bend Open Road Race might be fun...

You should sell me that. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) It sounds a lot like my convertible. Look at the airbox. When I replaced mine I found that the glue had failed on the "oval section" that's glued to the lid and it had popped open and had a large gap. I don't know if that's common, most of these cars haven't survived this long with the stock lid in order to find out. lol.
What happened to your third gen? |
