Our son Carter was born late last thursday night.
Labor took forever but mom did good. He's a healthy 9lb 1oz little boy. The feeling is un-describable. |

QUOTE (beuke23 @ Jul 20 2004, 06:31 PM) QUOTE (ESPCamaro @ Jul 20 2004, 05:50 PM) But it's no biggie. I guess the happiness I have overshadows any of the sleeplessness, and other stuff. Cause so far it aint' that bad. Yessir. I totally didn't mind cleaning the house, going food shopping, cooking, washing the dishes, and doing laundry for the first month. Now my folks are here helping out, I don't have to do as much (Until they leave,of course...). And I found a new hobby from all this house work: cooking! I bought a cook book, went at it, and been enjoying cooking ever since! And the baby just gets more adorable everyday...I can't stand it. Actually because mom does so much, that I CAN'T do, it makes me feel good to do the stuff I never used to. Makes me feel as though I AM helping out. Even working by myself is not bad. We normally work for the same company (didn't meet there (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ). We are both pretty equal with me making just a few thousand per year more than her. But with her not working, it makes me feel more like I'm providing for my family. Some of the women on the board may think that sounds neanderthal like... BUT like most households in america we have grown accustomed to a dual income. Luckily our company started a bonus program and a 4% cost of living increas the SAME month Carter was born. So it'll be tough for awhile but ALL worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
