I almost failed tech since my front bearings had a little slop (thirdgen). I decided run the event anyway since they didn't even have 1000 miles on them and because I didn't have any bearings or cotter pins with me. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) Also, this isn't a daily driver so I guess I wasn't too worried. I know... I know... I still should have checked them, but they were fine.
I'm sure those of us who have trailers bring extra everything, but what are some of the more common parts you tend to bring with you? I keep some spare wire with crimps and 2 extra computers with eproms in the car, but that's it. |

Mike I'm not sure if we will take him next week. Meranda may just stay home. It's not very far away.
The next weekend is the Peru Pro. No way am I spending a whole weekend away from them. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I think it will be doable. We have seen more and more couples with young ones at autoxes. Hell at Nationals Jean Kinser-Dana usually sets up a day care, just for autoxers. Not my cup of tea but......(My sister-in-law will be our baby sitter) A quick FYI that may help some or may not. The 1LE lower front arms have a different ball joint thread than a standard ball joint. The thread size matches the thread size on a Bilstein rear shock nut. Now you can either carry the right castle nuts and substitute for shock nuts, OR in an EMERGENCY add the shock nut to the ball joint. Not all that safe probably but works. And you could even cut a groove for a cotter pin if you have access to a grinder. Yes we found all this out the hard way. |
