QUOTE (CMC#5 @ Aug 8 2004, 08:45 PM) Damn...and here I thought the old paint looked really good! I think your standards are just too high. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) So I was feeling all inspired by this thread, and went out to wail on the quarter panel again this afternoon. I sort of got inside the trunk area, and my wife held a dolly on the outside (cool wife huh?) So together we got the quarter out pretty good. I can't reach all of it on the inside, so I'll have to use a puller, but it already looks tons better than it did. I worked my way slowly, using a shrinking hammer, and the panel doesn't look very distorted (extra metal from having been stretched. Of course theres a lot of little bumps from where I didn't have the hammer square. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ....yo go Al... You wouldn't believe what I have asked my wife to do...in the garage that is.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) .....that is a cool wife you got there.... Sounds like you got it right.....stretching metal is the WORST thing you can do...work slowly... If you don't get around to the "final" repairs till the offseason...give me a call, I work cheap, and for a few beers I can get ya going....
