Hey guys I just found this place and I'm really happy to see fellow F-body AutoX nuts. I've only done a couple of events in my WS6 but I used to regularly kill cones in a little 240Z many years ago. I've also managed to get the wife addicted to the sport and she won a divisional 1st at her second event, so she's most definitely hooked.

QUOTE (94bird @ Aug 9 2004, 10:45 PM) Sean, why not just drive your daughter's kart or get your own instead of still racing your car? I'm considering that option. I don't think I'd fit in an eight-year-old's Formula Junior kart. Maybe when she's older .... I keep thinking about getting a used Formula Ford 1600 for track days and autocross (in C Mod), but I'll probably have to replace my wife's car first. It wouldn't take too many sets of giant Hoosiers to pay for the FF1600 with its cheap little tires, and they look like a blast to drive. Dan Popp's daughter was at the Tri-Region Challenge last weekend, apparently for the first time or nearly so. She dropped a bunch of time once he raised the brake pedal so she could reach it. The rumour was that he promised to buy her a faster kart when she could get through the course without lifting (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It looked like a lot of fun. |
