Why are the crate motor prices for the LT1 and the LS1 almost identical? I don't get it.

It must be so expensive because of the block. LT1's weren't made that long. Besides all the internal parts are standard SBC pieces. The block and the heads must be driving up the price. The internals for an LT1 should be much cheaper than an LS1.
