Typically, an AI car or AIX car could run ITE. ITE has no restriction regarding power or modifications. The Reverse (ITE car running in AI) may be against the major AI rule of 9.5 pounds to 1 HP ratio. Such an ITE car w/excessive HP for AI could run in AIX, an unlimited class.
I did this for a while w/my old race car (ITE and AI). It was a 30th Anniv LT4 SS race car. No problem in a NASA car meeting SCCA tech specs and vice versa. Just have to maintain two log books. Competitiveness, is another story. Steve |
