I want to remove the airbag from the drivers side of my daily beater - geo metro. I have had it disconnected for a while now but it's uneeded weight. I removed the passenger one today (and glovebox - all seats except driver's were removed along with the spare & jack)
Do I need any special tools to take it out or do I just start unscrewing things? it looks like there are 2 torx heads that I might need to undo? |

I forgot I had a manual - but it isn't too descriptive. I guess I'm going to be getting me an external torx socket or screwdriver.
FYI for those of you in NY: Title III Article 5 NYS Vehicle & Traffic Law ((IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) In the case of any passenger car manufactured on or after September first, nineteen hundred ninety-seven, during the course of the vehicle safety inspection, the readiness of the inflatable restraint system, by means of the readiness indicator, shall be noted on the invoice supplied to the consumer. The system`s lack of readiness shall not be considered grounds for the vehicle to fail the safety inspection provided for in subparagraph (a) of this paragraph. |
