I have a 99’ Z28 that came with the 1LE package. The car has no foglamps. I am wanting to put some type of additional lighting on the car in addition to my headlights that are already on the car. There have been many occasions where the factory headlights even on bright were just not adequate or safe enough.

I was looking at Cibie or PIAA/Marchall lamps. Has anyone installed these on their car? Has anyone installed anything of this type in the factory foglamp location? Since my car came from the factory without them, did they leave off the brackets and connectors in that area. I was even looking at an aftermarket grille insert and just mounting them in the openings that are on the grill insert. Has anybody done that? Would I need to look at a higher output alternator?

You might find it easier and get more effective driving lights if you looked at some PIAAs or the like. The driving lights on my '94 Z28 barely even show up on the road. The PIAAs I had on my Firebird were worlds better.
