So at 66,600 miles, I'm driving 70mph down the highway in our 2000 Bravada. Without warning, in a flash, all the dash lights and warning lights popped on, the gauges all dropped to zero and then just as quickly, the gauges returned to where they were.
It did it again a minute later, and again later that night. But I made the return 120 mile trip without incident. Battery is new. Don't even know where to begin on this problem. |

I have actually experienced the same sensation in my wifes 98 Bravada. Several months later the car stranded her several hours from home. No spark at the coil. It ends up that a wire on the ignition comes loose from the steering wheel being adjusted up and down on a regular basis. If you pull off the plastic shroud on the bottom of the steering column you'll see a pink wire that comes from the bottom of the column goes into a flat connector just below the ignition switch (keyed). Check the connection there.....it is a fairly common problem on the s-10 based suv's.
