I need to buy a driving suit and have an SFI requirement in my rulebook. According to the rulebook, I need SFI3.2A/x or greater. I have looked atr suits that state SFI 1 and SFI 5. I have no idea which is a higher spec and which is a lower spec... I went to the SFI website and it is useless for this sort of information. Anyone know where I can gain access to this information? |

Did a quick google search and came up with this article. Click here. You are correct assuming the X corresponds to the "1" or the "5" and that is an indicator of time to a second degree burn. The "1" being good for 3 seconds anf the "5" being good for 10 seconds. |
