Honestly, I wouldn't count out the front wheel drive "student cars" at Mid Ohio. It's not exactly what you're used to, but the experience will carry over and it is slightly more difficult to get in "trouble" in those cars than it is in your WS6. I'd consider running an event in those cars, then move towards HPDE days in your own car (or a racing license training class, if you plan to race). Bob Bondurant was using Mustangs and some GTO's (I think the GTO's were only for drifting school.....yuck) for his classes. Or Bragg-Smith (as I remember) was using Corvettes for some classes.
