For Sale: '85 Camaro C-Prepared car. Black. Lots of new suspension work. About 90% ready to wake everyone up on Sundays.
Chassis is a T-Top car and has been lightened and caged. Cage is a custom install with the rear suspension points and strut towers tied-in. Front and rear of T-Top roof area welded to top hoop of cage. T-Top panels are functional. Doors are gutted, as is the interior area. Custom dashboard with Oil Press, Oil Temp, Coolant Temp, and Voltmeter. Toggle switches for fuel pump, ingnition, fans, start, etc.... Monster tach mounted on A-pillar upright. Quick release steering wheel. Moroso battery box with Optima dry-cell battery with killswitch. Body has had the front wheel arches radiused to clear the 25x12x16 slicks and is all metal at this point. Stock hood has had the structure cut out and is pinned in the front. Bumper beams have been removed. No side windows. Windshield and rear hatch is still glass. Engine is a '69 4-bolt block 355 with '66 ported 2.02 heads. It has about 10.5 compression, and an unknown Lunati solid-lifter cam with at least .631 lift. Idle is VERY lumpy. AL roller rockers w/ stud girdles. Intake is a Vic Jr. with a Holley 750 4150 carb with fuel press gauge. K&N filter. Hooker long-tube 1 3/4" headers. MSD ignition. New AL radiator w/stock electric fan. It also has an 8-gal fuel cell, and a Holley electric fuel pump. Tranny is a THM-350 with a 2400-2800rpm stall converter. It has a Hurst ratchet shifter and a shift-kit. Rear Axle is a 7.5" 10-bolt with an Auburn Pro differential , and a 4.11 gear. Front Suspension has stock lower A-arms with poly bushings. Koni SA red struts and 1000lb/in springs. Stock front anti-sway bar. Rear Suspension has Spohn tubular rod-end LCA's, relocation brackets, tubular rod-end panhard bar, and rod-ended telescopic torque-arm with pinion angle adjustment. 350lb/in springs. Stock rear anti-sway bar. Brakes are stock 4-wheel disc with Performance Friction pads. and the car has a Tilton dual-cylinder manual MC with crossbar bias adjustment. Wheels are Dura-Light 16x12 2-piece wheels with 4.5" backspace. Car comes with 2 sets of Goodyear 25x13 slicks (pretty old and hard. good for fitting or for a Formula V bath). Also available are a 1-yr old set of 23.5x11.5x16 Hoosiers and 2 brand-new 25x12x16 Hoosier sticker tires. Even with the metal body panels, glass windows, and iron heads, the car needs almost 200lbs in weight to meet the CP legal weight of 3050lbs.
