I read the F1 vs. IRL vs. NASCAR vs. Touring Car debate and I wondered, what is the best race you have ever seen? SCCA , IMSA, AMA etc. Anything pros, amatuers, bikes, boats, whatever. In person, on TV, a participant etc. Lets hear from you guys.

I gotta' say the 1979 Daytona 500. That was the last lap incident between Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison that ended up with both cars in the grass and both drivers in a fistfight with Richard Petty going on to win. Since then I've always been a fan of NASCAR. I know rednecks driving around in circles. But to me the appeal is that the drivers actually have personalities.
