One Lap Drivers' School at BeaveRun
The 3rd BeaveRun Tire Rack Cannonball One Lap of America Drivers School will be April 2nd and 3rd, Saturday and Sunday. Though it has been, and could be again, a chilly weekend in Wampum, PA, we usually manage to eek out some fun and get lots of laps in. This year the SCCA will not be sharing the track with us, we'll have the entire facility to ourselves. Bench Racing Friday night and Saturday after the banquet at the Holiday Inn. For those taking the school. Registration: 8:00 to 9:00 am, mandatory class room instruction from 9:00 to 10:30 am each day. The first session will be as a passenger with the instructor driving, second and remaining sessions student driving with the instructor in the second seat until the student is signed off. The car will be the entry, with up to two drivers. $300 for the weekend, includes Saturday night banquet for two drivers, any extra school drivers, $150 per day, extra dinner tickets, $30 per. For veterans with history who just want to test and tune. Car is the entry, $150 per day, one pass to dinner. Extra dinner passes are $30 each. Program for veterans, 8:00 - 9:00 am registration, mandatory drivers meeting 9:00 - 9:20, first car ontrack at 9:30. Regards, Danny Yanda 724-535-1000 www.beaverun.com Note to all participants: For those needing the two-school minimum for entry into One Lap, this school will qualify. While there is no failing, attention will be paid to all students by the instructors, track staff and One Lap representatives, probably me, that all the graduates have the skills and maturity to compete in the event. We want a good safe school, and just as important, a safe and enjoyable One Lap. Showing up for the two-day school is not necessarily a guarantee to enter the event. See you there, Brock |

This should have all the info you need. There is a Holiday Inn within 2 miles of the track. When I talked to them on the phone they were very helpful.. Yes you don't have to run OLOA to go to the school. Its alot of track time for 300 bucks. Last yr I got 6 20 min sessions on Sat, Sun was about the same. The track is only being used for the OLOA school. From my understanding if you have some experience(not related to OLOA) they might have an instructor take your car then have you drive. If everything is okay, you could be SOLO if they feel you are capable. With that said, I had my instructor drive my car twice, then one time with me then I was Solo. :drive: I never was on a road course before. Last yr was alot of fun, Lots of track time. Passing is done on the 2 straights, with a point by.. That track is a Blast. Alan Wilson design lots of run off!!! I would say Seatbelt, and a SA rated Helmet should get on the track. But again confirm with Beave run. Finally This snow has been drivng me nuts. I don't know if I will be able to get the car out. There is a 4 ft ice mound in front of the door that I cant do a damm thing about..........
