tell me about it. cost of living, crime, weather, how nice is it. essentially id just like to know what id be getting myself into if i was to just up and move out there one day and try to find a job and what not. thanks

its rains alot here in the NW.

funny thing is, i've been here for about 4 years now.. and people tell me, these past 4 years have been a drought..

lol, so its suppose to rain MORE?! I have a college friend that also moved over here, and he was equally shocked to hear that too.. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif) he's originally from SC, and I'm from NJ.

There's lots of nature stuff around you.. palce to be for people that like nature, hiking, skiing, hunting, etc.

Overally, its a nice place to live.. we don't get much snow in the portland area.. but all the areas around us do.
