If it's even happened, when was the last time you could buy an American car and only need one socket set?

Would a Japanese vehicle, manufactured in Japan, be 100% metric?

Like why throw in 2 torx bolts on the drivers side shock tower and have all 4 be hex bolts on the passenger side?

And aren't the 4 hex bolts 1/2" bolts? It was only last weekend, but I've done so much since then that I hardly recall. I think the stock lugs (using the lock adapter) are 3/4".
