Hey guys, i was thinking about getting a pair of cheap tires and rims and mounting 'em out back just to play around with. Ya know, beat the crap outta them cuz they cost 50 bucks a piece. Any good suggestions? I was thinking it'd be fun to put something really small on back there so i'd get a ton of oversteer. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

QUOTE (jrtf83 @ Jun 6 2005, 01:29) yea, its something i've been thinkin' about trying. but more than that i just want to learn the edges of grip, get a feel for when it starts to break traction and stuff. As Rob stated, we are pretty much allergic to drifting here. If you want to learn the limits of the vehicle at a slower pace, I'd suggest a set of 4 "skinny" tires and put them on all four corners, then you can work on the cars balance and the driver. However, the stock tires are "slippery enough" with the weight and HP that these cars make. So, if you are wanting to get a feel for the balance of the car for autocrossing or track use, we can possibly help, if it's drifting you seek, I'm sure there are entire forums dedicated to it, but this is not one of them. :drive: |
