Like the topic says, it hasn't gone out yet, but it's showing the signs.

QUOTE (LT4Firehawk @ Jul 1 2005, 08:20) Turn One LT1 pump is $225. I may go ahead and go that route. I was planning on plumbing in a cooler if I went with a standard rebuilt unit, but I think the Turn One might be the better alternative. It's not just the pump whining, but also a belt squeel at startup. My guess is that the pump is leaking onto the belt. I initially thought it was the belt tensioner, but replacing it didn't make any difference. Then I started noticing a little whine on steering wheel input (which is getting worse), so that leads to the PS pump. I have noted boiling in my LT1 pump when I was at a track day. The pump is not dead yet but it is coming. I have pulled the fluid and replaced with synthetic. LGM has an underdrive pulley system - but I think the Turn 1 pump is cheaper in the end. |
