Leaving at 6 am tomorrow morning for for Boston for a few days of Red Bull competition again!! It's the second year in a row that Matthew has qualified, maybe the extra experience and confidence will help him this year. He's only 15 so he actually has TWO more years to try to do this. He keeps getting better though. Last weekend he (we) drove his MR2 at our local event. I managed a 60.4 and he ran a 61.5... he's right on my tail and he's only 15!!! He just got his learners in April. I think by the end of the season he'll be running with me. Scary.

I think I might need to buy a house up there the way this is going!

They're doing it a little different this year, it doesn't look like they really get any practice this time. It's only two days of racing and half the field will be gone after the first day!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

It's a smaller field this year because they only took the top 3 qualifiers from each track instead of 4 so maybe that's part of it, I don't know. Not only that, but they've invited some ringers to run also.

So we'll see how it goes! If anyone in that area can come out on Wednesday or Thursday, look us up, we'll be at the track all day ( www.f1outdoors.com ). If you think you can come out, let me know and I'll give you my cell number.

:drive:

We were very lucky this year.

Sponsorship money made all of this possible. I just closed on a house on Friday and have to move when we get back so money was going to be in short supply. Scott Krissel at Four Seasons Carwash is donating the hotel expense, my dad is donating the rental car expense and Mark Noyce with Delta donated two Delta Buddy Passes for the airfare. So it probably wouldn't have happened without all that help.

Blessed indeed.
