QUOTE (steve-d @ Aug 21 2005, 17:56) What's wrong with the rev limiter? I bought two SLs. Never installed either. 6500 rpm rev limit on the F Body. When I hit it I am reminded to shift. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I don't even have one on my race car. Same thing: MSD rpm pill of 6k. Hit it I shift. I guess I don't get it. If there's an opertable rev limiter no need to worry about engine. If you're doing the 1/4 for money or whatever on an occassional basis, maybe. Bottom line: Not worth the effort. steve I'm a little skittish with my current motor Steve, just don't have the budget for a 4th motor this year (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) So i was going to set this to go off a few(3 or 4) hundred rpm's under the rev limiter. Right now i shift by sound, and get it right 4 out of 5 time's. But that's like 3 or so missed shift's per lap at BRP :drive: Beside a lt1 make's no power above 5t rpm's right! Or am i wrong on this one? |
