..I wouldn't want to be hitting the LS1 limiter too much myself.  I only tapped it once on the drag strip and I bent a pushrod.  A friend of mine also bent a pushrod by hitting the rev limiter, much harder than I did... and his was bent into an S.

Just curious, was that from holding it in gear too long, or misshifting into the wrong gear?

The misshift will hit the rev limiter, but the engine will still over-rev because it's being mechanically driven at that point. That's the only time I've heard of ls1 pushrods getting bent before, is on a misshift or a hydrolock.

I hit the rev limiter several times at each AX, and I've hit it once with a missed shift mechanically forcing it well past the 7000 rpm limit. Still no bent pushrods, but they are hardened, oversize pushrods. I have Katech rod bolts in the low end.
