It was 1 am and I was driving around trying to find gas, 4 of the stations were out of gas totally, one only had premium left.
A tanker was filling up one station and there was a line of 15+ cars waiting to fill up. I found some for around 3.09, but finding gastook a little work. A very surreal expierence. |

At least one station in my area (southern NJ) was out of fuel this afternoon. I find this disturbing since there are refineriesin both north central NJ ans south western NJ. Perhaps they are proportioning deliveries in order to divert fuel to areas that lack a supply source (though I am more inclined to believe it's more a matter of generating a believable sense of scarcity to validate further price gouging). How many of you remember the previous two "energy crises"? Had a friend who worked for a refinery during the last one who told me that the biggest problem was finding places to store stockpiled crude and refined oil. Guess being a "child of the 60's has made me cynical. Time will tell.
