The South Texas Porsche Club is hosting an event on 2/28/04 at South Padre Island. I have been running these events for two years and they arethe best deal going. You get 2-3 hours of run time, timing, and driving instruction if you want it. It is typically a 2-3 mile course set up on an old air base. They only charge $60!! The non-Porsches outnumber the Porsches and there is nothing like running down a twin turbo 911 with a F-body. Let me know if anyone is interested in going along. Several of us are ventuing down from Corpus Christi if you are interested.

QUOTE (y5e06 @ Feb 17 2004, 05:47 PM) These events are so much fun! If you are in a 3 hr radius I would highly recommend going. 6+ hr drive is a bit much for me. 6hr drive? It took us 3.5 one year from the bridge at Padre to San Marocs, but we were moving. Normally its about 4-4.5 I think? But still a long drive for just a day.... But it would be fun.
