If Jon would've started selling the LCAs and PHBs that are written up on his page rather then publishing the data, he might have a large stack of greenbacks. I just wish I had a nickel for every site or person (myself included) that claims that they're "building" those same LCAs and PHBs you wrote about.
Not sure if you realise it or not, but your ideas have definitely made an impact on the F-body aftermarket. I'm probably not the first schmuck to come to this conclusion, but I figured it was worthy of a post since I've never seen one acknowledging it. If I ever meet ya, the first beer is on me. IMO what Jon did with these LCA's and PHR is not big deal. (hear me out some of you because I know how some of you are)
What he DID do, and does, is to urge the f-body guys to get off there butts and figure things out. You can't always, and shouldn't take someone's word for it. And this includes for the PHR, LCA's. He tells us what is what because he's a nice enough guy about it. But if anyone else would have gotten off their butts to figure out what tubing is available, and what rod ends, lengths etc, then the credit just for that could have went to anyone. I had a steel PHR that was homebuilt on my car in late 01', and an aluminum PHR in 03' If I'm off base Jon just tell me so. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |
