If Jon would've started selling the LCAs and PHBs that are written up on his page rather then publishing the data, he might have a large stack of greenbacks. I just wish I had a nickel for every site or person (myself included) that claims that they're "building" those same LCAs and PHBs you wrote about.
Not sure if you realise it or not, but your ideas have definitely made an impact on the F-body aftermarket. I'm probably not the first schmuck to come to this conclusion, but I figured it was worthy of a post since I've never seen one acknowledging it. If I ever meet ya, the first beer is on me. Back when Chris (FRRAX’s founder) first asked me about starting the site, I emailed him that I didn’t see much chance of it taking off. It was such a small niche that the site would appeal to, that it would have to become THE ONLY real place for serious F-body corner carvers for it to have any chance of succeeding.
I said that I thought it might work if the right key figures were to become active here; people whose opinions racers universally respected. Jon A. was one of the 2 names I mentioned to Chris that he needed to recruit. I won’t mention the other name so many of you can imagine that it was you. We were fortunate to get the participation of both, and of many other gifted people, and it has all blended together very well. Now going on 2 years and we are pushing 1000 members. But early on, Jon was a marquee member who drew a lot of us here. Thanks Jon; you were worth your $2000 celebrity endorsement fee. |
