I drove my road race car today on the roads for fun (it also happens to still be street legal). Other than getting stuck on the transition from my driveway to the road (car is too low for that), it drove perfect, just perfect.
It feels out of place on the road. The steering response is incredibly crisp. The ride is so stiff (850 front, 225 rear). I could break the wheels free at will (in 1st and 2nd) on my Toyos. I had a constant sound of road cinders (for proving traction in snow) in my wheels wells. ...and to top it off, I had some fool in an Eclipse that thought he could play with me. I also saw a Del Sol with a fart can and a wing going the other way. I know he really wished he was going in my direction. So did I. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) That drive was so rewarding. After all of the work Ive done over the winter, it was rewarding. Short but rewarding. Is it spring yet? Sigh. |

I really do feel sorry for all you Northern folk. We haven't had a winter here in Texas, at all. Today was windows down and t-tops out, and we have had a few days a week like that all "winter."
The only time I've felt anything like you guys go through, was when my car was down for a month doing heads/cam/intake/etc. and it was insane when I finally got it running and pulled it out of the garage. |
