Head and cam more expensive than I thought! - F-Body Road Racing and Autocross Forums

About a year ago I installed LT4 hotcam, headers, bolt ons etc. Car makes 330 at the wheels, but feels a bit slow. So a couple of months ago I decided to go with lloyd elliot LE2 heads and cam to make about 400 at the wheels. 1600 for heads and cam not too bad. But adding up all the parts, man it was a lot more. Just bought the stuff today, I'm in for about 3500!

LS1 Inside! / Toolbox / Mechanical Engineer Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,215 Joined: 5-February 04 From: NJ Member No.: 179	My extra power is is a result of a defective 2001 lifter tray, and a "while I'm in here I might as well upgrade this and that!" I see my track days being less and less in the future as I plan on buying a house next year......and that will put a damper on things! NJ house prices and taxes are......outta control! It could be 15 track days in 06 and only 5 or so in 07? I'm lucky that I'm going to be a permanent tower helper so 80% of my driving schools will be free this year.
